HDR Images

Some HDR (High Dynamic Range) photos.

Supercell storm developing, that later struck Joplin, Mo.
The next images were shot the day the deadly tornado hit Reading, KS. It is located about 50 miles to the Northwest. These were also processed using HDR merge.

HDR merging can produce some very interesting photos. I just recently started experimenting with it, and like the effect that it produces on photos. Just like panorama, you must first plan on using the photos you are going to shoot as such. With HDR merge you need to take a succession of photos, stopping them down, as well as keeping them all identically framed. So using a tripod is a must.
